I'm growing!

Week of March 25

Whew!  Nana is "high maintenance".  She gave me my first cold (not really the best gift); but I am so healthy and you couldn't even tell I was sick cuz' I barely had the sniffles.

I can chug 5 oz. at a time, I'm really growing and I'm going to eat "fast and furious"! I love to sleep alot and I did that this week. It means I'm getting bigger. I found out I'm almost 16 lbs now!

I love screaming too.  I heard someone yell, but realized it was me and it was fun to scare nana sometimes.  One day we went and picked up my cousin, Jacob and he was talking to me alot, so I think he will be pretty cool to play with.

I can lay down in my crib and fall asleep now without being scared.  My mommy and daddy put me in a "magic" night suit.   It is comfy and made my eyes tired; I know when my daddy put me in there and kisses me good night, it's time to relax.  I usually dream about when I get to play more and about eating.

My favorite is still when my mommy cuddles me and she told me she always will, so I'm not scared anymore when she leaves the room.

I hope people keep giving me things to put in my mouth because I like chewing on things and I don't like to drool, but it's still happens and I guess that means I'm a big boy.  Oh and one more thing, my dad thinks I'm pretty strong and athletic since I move my legs constantly and I can stand.  I MUST be strong!  (Why do people keep pinching my legs?)

1. I have a cool cousin, Jacob.  I want to be big like him.  2.  Love my chew toys  3. (bottom left) Go Blue Devils-- I now have a favorite team and they are awesome!  4. (bottom right)  My chin is always wet. (they said I'm drooling alot now.)   I have big blue eyes!

I'm such a happy baby!

Nana says when I sleep I look alot like my mama.  My
eyes are big she says.

My mommy and I went on a special trip to visit Mimi and Grandpa this week.  We had fun. Trips are fun.
In a couple weeks I will b 4 months.  I can't wait.

Julian takes over home in Ridges

This was my first full week "teaching my nana" about my world.  She said I get got all A's.  Here is what I accomplished:

1. Random squealing which I'm quite sure sounds pretty cool to the world, but it's my secret on what I'm saying.

2.  I love to sleep.  I work hard, play hard and get lots of sleep so by next year I will be taller than all my Guamanian relatives.  "Shut eye, (clear eyes), full tummy, (full heart), CAN'T LOSE!  Yes, I'm that competitive.

3.  Everyone needs to know that by mid-afternoon, I'm looking for my mommy and that's that.  But I will take treats (lots of toys and money) and love until I see her.  But she does come back and I'm totally happy to see mommy (and daddy too).

4.  Blue must be my favorite color, because I seem to be wearing a "blue devil" often.

5.  I'm pretty coordinated and love my toys. Just try putting something in front of me-  I will "own" it.  But, if you have a basketball game on (or a cute baby show with animals), I might watch TV.  Sorry, but I do LIKE TV; what's so bad about that?  I will still be brilliant.

6.  On the last day, Nana whispered a song to me (hush little baby song, but more importantly, she said she would buy me everything I wanted).  So, yes,  I like listening to singing after all. (especially that song).

7.  Papa keeps making weird noises at me.  He just hybernates behind a door and every so often comes out and is weird.

Nana gave me a report card:
Finding hands and using them to soothe:  A+
Beginning of drooling time  A
Visual memory of home and setting A
Using hands to hit A+
Vocals A+
Love of exercize A++
Leg strength A++

Next week, we are going to work more on tummy time and hand coordination.
I love when my Nana and Mimi play with me- they both "rock"!
Found my voice!

Yay for Duke.

I love toys! (and TV)

I pulled the ring off a few times-ha!

I'm cuter than Humpty Dumpty!

I missed my mommy and daddy, but they came back!
I look pretty good. (I sneezed on this mirror too!)

Crib training

Night 2...wish us luck!  Search "Baby Merlin Sleepsuit" and you'll see what Julian is wearing right now...supposed to take the place of a swaddle at around 3 months because babies tend to outgrow their bassinet and do not like the feeling of being swaddled anymore.  (Julian never has liked that feeling though)

In the meantime, here is an image from our dropcam (a.k.a. video baby monitor):

As you can see, Julian looks like he is wearing a marshmallow suit.  It's meant to limit the movement from the startle reflexes and give him the comfort of being cuddled...we'll see if we have better luck tonight!  Stay tuned...

First full week at work

Missing my sweet baby so much this week but know that he is in good hands while we are at work. A few pics while he was with both grandma's this week!

Keep it together.

I'm trying to these last few days I have at home with my babe. I am trying not to think about being away from him so much and just making the most of this precious time, but it's been really hard. Just when I think I'm okay with going back to work, I break down and cry. I don't know how I'm going to do it! Just have to remind myself that most people do this and their babies are fine...and still love them...and won't forget about them...and they won't miss out on everything...ugh. Here I go again...if anyone still reads this, could use some positive energy/vibes/thoughts/prayers...
