31 Weeks!

Sometimes I'm not sure what to even title my posts...smorgasbord of randomness?  Anyway, here are some of the things that happened last weekend!:

Rocking Chair/Glider/whatever you want to call it has arrived!  SO COMFORTABLE.

Handmade wooden letters from etsy came in the mail too!  His nursery is lookin' good! Oh and for those who didn't already know, baby J will be named "Julian" <3

Picked up this little man from the airport on Saturday along with my brother. Haven't seen John for almost a year and Cab for about 6 months!  P.S. Angry Birds is all the rage with little boys these days..notice the tower and shirt.  I learned so much about it during our 45 minute car ride to Lincoln.  ;)

Chiefs game with Patty, Josh, Jaime, Rachel and their friend on Sunday.  My first Chief's game-so much fun!  And check out our seats-so close to the field!

30 weeks!

Here's the little stinker that's been keeping me up lately! :) (I mean that in the sweetest way-we have fun! He likes to make his presence known at these early hours-still my favorite feeling in the world!)

Insomnia ...

Has become a regular part of my vocabulary lately.  Last night I couldn't go back to sleep after bathroom break #142567745899 starting around 4:30 am.  I just can't seem to get comfortable and have been feeling very restless!  (especially my legs, ugh!) So basically, from 4:30-7:30, I was in and out of a very, very light attempt at sleeping.  Even though I have my doctor's appointment at 9:30, (a.k.a. "weigh in") I was starving at this point so had my breakfast already-usually i try to wait. Ha!

I should probably try to find something more productive to do or at least finish some of these baby books the next time this happens!  Facebook, instagram and checking my email is just not cutting it.  Nothing interesting seems to be posted at these early hours, obviously.  (speaking of-nothing interesting ever seems to be posted on FB anymore, not sure why I even bother checking it when I'm bored.  Going to make an effort to not idly check it during these times!)

Anyway, we have a big weekend planned so I might have to take a couple of naps to keep up with everything!  Can't wait for it to start!  First on the list (after baby doctor appointment!) we are picking up our new glider/chair for nursery after work!  His room is almost done-it's our favorite place in the whole house <3. Might have to go into interior design after this. Haha!  ;)

TGIF!!!!

It's been a while since I was truly as excited as I am about this weekend starting.  Work has been a little brutal this week.  It went from being really slow, to extremely chaotic and honestly, I prefer the chaos because the days go by so much faster!  But...at the same time, lack of caffeine, ADD and pregnancy brain seem to make things a little more difficult than they normally would be.  But I can do it!  I've gotten this far... Oh what I would give for a nice, cold beer after work...*sigh* I think I will just substitute one with some Orange Leaf though! :)  (I didn't end up getting it Thursday)

The only thing I really wanted to write about was how disappointing my dreams were last night.  They were the worst kind of dreams to have.  They literally were "work dreams" where the whole canvas of my dream was my work inbox and me responding to emails?!  Are you kidding me?  Lame.  So...weekend-I'm so excited for you to come!

Tonight we're putting together our new changing table that Patty got us, trying out the new smoker for the first time (brisket and pulled pork-mmmmm!!! p.s. it's a 12 hour process-so do the math if we want to have it ready in time for the Husker game tomorrow! haha!) and tomorrow is football/relax/wherever the wind takes us day.  Sunday I'm going down to Lincoln for Avery's baby shower and then seeing my parents afterwards.  Sounds like a good weekend to me!  Now to just get through the next few hours...(at least I am working from home!)

29 weeks!

Baby seems to be growing a lot these days! Very active-especially at night! Love feeling him move around. Pregnancy brain: I may have written exact same thing before? Haha!

Work has been insane this week-makes the week go by fast though which means we are one week closer to meeting little man! <3

Thankful.

Today we had a follow-up ultrasound to make sure a small potential issue that they found at our 20 week ultrasound had resolved itself.  Keep in mind that I am now 28 weeks, so we've had to wait two whole months for this day.  It was torture at times, but for the most part, Josh and I decided we needed to stay positive and have faith that everything would turn out okay.  Well, the big day finally arrived and thank the Lord, everything is okay and looks great with baby J!  The doctor said sometimes having this much technology is a curse because it can bring up things that might not be issues at all and make you worry for no reason.  I have to agree.

I am so incredibly happy/thankful/RELIEVED.  The doctor said baby J looks great and is measuring at 2 lbs 12 oz already!  (BIG BOY!) And I am actually measuring about a week ahead of what they originally thought (I KNEW IT!) although that won't change the due date.

Anyway, it was so great to get to see our baby boy on the screen today and watch him perform. Haha!  He was a little stubborn so we didn't get ALL of the shots we wanted, but here are a couple of the 3D images of his cute little face and profile.  Not going to lie, these 3D pics are a little creepy (for everyone) but it's still cool to get somewhat of a glimpse of what he will look like!  The nurse thought he looked like his Daddy and I agree!  Mini-Josh <3 But who really knows with these things? 

Feeling very blessed and thankful for everything today.  It really puts things into perspective.  So in love already and I can't say it enough-we can't wait to finally meet this little man!!
