Saturday was Josh's Grandma Annie's other surprise 75th birthday party for the rest of the family that wasn't in Vegas, which doubled as a Husker party too. (what a depressing game :( ...anyway!) They said to just bring one dish, but Josh and I felt like making a few! I forgot about taking pics of the food we made, so just going to post links to the recipes below and let you know how they turned out.
By the way, we get most of our online recipes off of foodgawker.com now-those of you that use Pinterest, this is where most of them originate. It's hit or miss sometimes, but these last three recipes we tried turned out pretty good!
Bloomin’ Onion Bread
Very, very easy to make and delicious! Most of it was gone by the time we left the party.
Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies
Pretty easy to make (not a lot to them-LOTS of sugar though....) and tasted good, but I think there are better recipes out there. They were kind of dense and too creamy at the top. We had a lot more leftover than the other two dishes we made. :(
Buffalo Chicken Bites
By far, the winner of the night! These took a little more time than the other two, but were still pretty easy to make. They were gone within a matter of minutes. SO GOOD! Highly-recommend making these!!
After all of that deliciousness, I decided to try to even it out and do a little prenatal yoga for the first time on Sunday. I didn't really know what to expect, but personally, I don't think it's for me at this point. I felt like the poses were very basic and felt more like "warm-up stretches" than anything. Towards the end, they threw in a few that were a little uncomfortable, especially when you have a giant baby bump in the middle of your body! So...not my fave, but glad I gave it a try.
The instructor was also a little strange and gave me a weird vibe, so I don't think I'd go back to her if I do decide to give it another shot. Oh well, worth a shot! Glad I just got out and moved around a little bit. For now, I think walking is going to have to be enough. I really miss being able to run! My next goal is to run the Lincoln 1/2 Marathon by next May!
